Northwest Kansas Encounter is a ministry in Northwest Kansas, running two retreat weekends a year on volunteer time. The leadership's year was spent on busy work: registrations taken on a borrowed form, a room plan rebuilt from scratch every cycle, the weekend's teams and its printed paper retyped by hand, and launch details emailed to every new sign-up one person at a time.
